FAR TOO TRAGIC
TO BE FUNNY
NEW WORKS BY JOEL BACA
Joel Baca was born and raised in New Mexico. His work is a deliberate mix of abstract shapes, gestural marks, and figurative motifs, all suspended between personal nostalgia and cultural iconography. From an early age, the visual language has been Baca’s primary vehicle for expression - a form of honest navigation and true communication. His current collection, “Far Too Tragic To Be Funny” creates a conversation bridging tattooing and fine art, attempting to capture an honest sense of self. Joel Baca currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
